How to use EPay Portal?

What are the payment mode available in EPay Portal?

For e-Payment, the following are the payment mode available:-

1) Credit/debit Card (Visa/Master Card)

2) FPX

3) E-Wallet

What is 3D Secure authentication?

3D Secure authentication is a security protocol designed to prevent fraud in online credit and debit card transactions. This additional security measure was facilitated by Visa and MasterCard.

How can I determine if my card has 3D Secure authentication?

If your card is equipped with 3D Secure authentication, you will be prompted to verify your identity during online transactions. This verification may involve entering a unique PIN or using biometric authentication.

How can I resolve 3D Secure authentication issue?

If you encounter this issue, please consider the following steps:


  1. Check the validity of your card and ensure the details are accurate and sufficient funds are available.
  2. Ensure that your browser is set to allow pop-ups.
  3. Contact your bank or card issuer to enable international online transactions and activate 3D Secure authentication.
  4. Try using a different card for the transaction.
  5. If you have access to Malaysia’s online banking system, consider using the FPX method as an alternative.
What if I do not receive Official Receipts after payment has been deducted from my bank account?
System will regenerate unsuccesfull receipt every 1 hour. 

You would be able to reprint your Official Receipt using these methods:

1. Track My Payment  
Menu: Services > Payment Checking > Track My Payment       

2. My Payment History
Menu: Services > Payment Checking > My Payment History

3. Notification sent to your email which was registered in your profile.

What if I receive 'Unsuccessful Payment' notification after payment transaction has been completed?
  • Check either your bank account is deducted or not. Please proceed to make payment once you confirmed that no deduction has been made.
  • As an alternative, please email your transaction details to bursar_cash@um.edu.my to get confirmation on your payment status.
